Are there any Riverside Physician Network doctors near my home? Top

Riverside Physician Network has more than 65 private practice Primary Care Physicians and over 120 Specialty Care Physicians in the Greater Riverside area.

How do I choose a Physician? Top

Select a Primary Care Physician from the Provider Directory, which you received from your health plan.
If you'd like to switch to a doctor within Riverside Physician Network please contact your HMO Member Services Department and provide them with the Provider name of your choice. Their telephone numbers should be located on the back of your ID card.

We know that choosing a qualified and caring physician for your family is very important and can be confusing. If you need further assistance or have questions about any of our physicians, please call our dedicated Customer Services Department at 951.788.9800. We will be happy to help you.

What if I get sick? Top

If you become ill, you will call the primary care physician that you have personally selected. Your physician will treat you in their private office. Should you need to see a specialist, your primary care physician will refer you to see a specialist within the Riverside Physician Network. Our medical management nurses work with your primary care physician to ensure that your referral is handled to meet your needs.

What if I get sick after hours? Top

An appointment with your personal physician should always be your first choice, but since you don’t get sick just during business hours, we don’t just offer care from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you have a medical emergency that is not life-threatening, Riverside Physician Network patients can call their doctor's office for advice or visit one of our four urgent care centers.

For a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.

What about Emergency Care? Top

If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911. If you are transported to a hospital by ambulance, you will be taken to the NEAREST hospital. If the nearest hospital is not a Riverside Physician Network affiliated hospital, you may be transferred to an RPN hospital, once you are stabilized. Please keep in mind that – after being triaged by a registered nurse – patients are treated in order of severity, not in order of arrival. If you are unsure whether or not you need emergency care, call your primary care physician.

Which Hospitals can I use? Top
